Looking to get an electric or gas scooter, moped, or vespa? - electric vespa

Hello, I'm a poor student looking for a gas or electric scooter to get, moped or scooter, because I can not afford gas for my truck. I am not aware of this because my family never had one. If anyone could me a brief description of the differences and what to buy, would be very useful, and I will always love you. Thank you!

Electric vehicles are more expensive batteries to replace natural gas-fueled gas car faster. Get power if you do not want to be green - for the economy.

A moped, motorized pedal bike in the amount of 20-30 mph, it is not safe for the streets of the city.
A 50cc scooter is the top by 35 or less. Once safely in the streets with cars over 40 miles per hour.
125-150cc motorcycles / scooters will be responsible for the road.
250cc + motorcycles / scooters will be responsible for the roads.

Italian, Japanese and American manufacturers have a reputation for reliability. Others may be cheaper, but cheap is not economical when it breaks. Check carefully if nothing is done, sold the name and Schwinn bikes are cheap Chinese junk unreliable. Piaggio (Vespa) Scooter has done more than anyone else in the industry. Fly 150 is interesting.

Electric brings the pain. Inexpensive battery technology does not yet exist.

They are financially secure authentically on a Honda, and Yamaha. If you are just a buzz in the town of Honda Ruckus is a better option. A plenthora spare parts for her because she is so popular. Sometimes you can almost fly on eBay sometimes.

There are Internet forums for the Ruckus. Battle Scooter has many updates. You can lower the seat to stretch the image to add running boards, bumpers, windows, bigger engine, so the ground is very good slide, but if you want, slightly later, the possibilities are incredible.

Yamaha Zuma, 50, and 125 large wheel.

The 110 is really getting enthusiastic reviews rattlesnake. Original is an American company, pushed the production of high quality.

Vespa is too expensive for what it is. Its good but too expensive. A bit like buying a BMW, when all you need is a Toyota.

Look at Honda, Yamaha, and moves the original. Not disappoint.

OK, lets keep things simple.

There are many good companies, Sym, Vespa, Piaggo, Genuine, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha.

Do not buy a Chinese scooter>

Buying a used Honda. Honda dealers throughout the world. You can still service. All Honda cars are good.

In most cases, a 50cc does not require a motorcycle license. Van 35 mph Fine for anything but roads.

As a new driver does not make sense in a street right now anyway. Thus, a CC-50.

I have an '86 Honda Elite, runs like a top.

One point is missing in your question, otherwise very good.
What is your budget for a bike?
For example, I pre-2002 Kawasaki KLR 650 for three years for 3,000 U.S. dollars. Last summer, when gas was over $ 4 per gallon driving possible by bicycle every day. 55 mpg to 58. Tons of supplies. The CPC is very reliable and very easy to paint.
For more information, visit the Adventure Rider forum and website. Be sure to see the slideshow.
Good Luck

If you are traveling by public transportation and only over short distances ... then go with a scoot 49/50cc. If you go at 50-55 mph and drag to slip out of 150 cc.
There are a lot of good bargins network for slips in the price range from 650 - 1000 dollars.
Enter 150cc scooter in your browser.

Try to watch the Honda Ruckus. they're cheap and easy to maintain, and that are also interminable Civic mods. My neighbor has one and makes a lot of fun! Just ask, why do not you sell your car? Maybe you can get a Civic or Corolla, as a replacement?

do not get an electric ... The scooters are very popular with the ... Products, but Chinese are Chinese and most are in the trash, because not so sure .. Stick with a Japanese. Brand is the best choice, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki. I have a Honda Passport 1982, more than 50 mph and 100mpg ... Can not beat that. Here you can find em for $ 400 to $ 1,000, and the engines are almost bullet to go. There are several parts for this thing Honda Civic Education. dratv.com hondatrailbikes.com and many other performance parts sites with kits that include a large diameter for only $ 100. Good luck.

It is too general a description. It covers many of the attractions that do not necessarily connected. There are very few real "motorcycles", available today, and I know are not practical to carry every day, if you are a worthy do-it-yourself are craftsmen. Most attractions are terrifying under section current and doubtful. Electrical better on the horizon, but are just not there yet, in my opinion. Each power quality days, you will be obsolete in a few years. So ... I say gas is the right way.

The best advice I can give is to avoid Chinese junk. Even if it seems a bargain at the time of purchase, there will be no spare parts in 2 years and no dealer support from Day 1 Very little repair, good reputation, is in the Repairing a connected account of the inconvenience of obtaining parts. An engine failure in the delivery can not be corrected, is not worth any price, the more pay less. Even owners who love them say they are obliged to do all the spare parts supplyAnd held their own.

Some Tiawan scooter (Kymco for one year) are good for the price, if there is a trusted dealer in the area. Check this carefully if you decide to take this option. Even so, funding is not restricted to European or Japanese standards with outdated parts much faster.

European Roller (Vespa, etc.), the products are excellent, but dealers are often scarce and parties, but generally low, take on average more than their Japanese counterparts. IMO function they are more expensive to relate their Japanese competitors, and is also more reliable.

Motorcycles and Scooters Gas Japan's "Big 4" (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki) are still a large selection of parts / aspects of support, with a slight lead over Honda in my opinion. You can also order online from parts to Japan from dozens of reliable sites and send them directly to your home. Warehouses in the United States and are full of parts ready for shipment. 20 years, parts of these cycles Japaneseand will probably be available again in a week or less. There is no way to play the Japanese support this time.

Avoid the need for a small (50 cm) motor, if you are living only in the travel-planning settings, where the speed limit of 30 years or less with no major hills. The younger children can be tempted by the impressive MPG numbers that may occur, but only if you take a 20 mph Some go about 40 mph, but it is only on the gas pedal is not good for energy efficiency or engine life. Few, if any, actually "cruise" somewhere near these speeds. The mountainous terrain is also a challenge. The cars will go along and show no respect wherever you go. An engine 100 - 200cc) is much better (and safer when there are heavy traffic roads or hills in your area. He will still get good mileage right and keep up with the flow of transportation throughout the entire country without much effort. Most of them are even with a side road, if you ever need.

Whatever you decide to take, make sure you can get local support when sEED. There is nothing worse than walking, while the parts for one months supply arrears or you are your bike in another state who works there, because the dealer only.

Well, I like the Yamaha better:

And remember - you get what you pay for. If the budget is tight, a good, well used "was" better than a new brand of "never" all the time.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
